To All Group Tour Operators:

The Conklin Reed Organ and History Museum offers your group a unique tour opportunity. The Museum is located in the historic 1911 Hanover High School building in Hanover, Michigan, and is sponsored and operated by the Hanover-Horton Area Historical Society. There are numerous historical displays.

> The former gymnasium has over 90 restored reed (pump) organs.
> Some of the organs date back to the mid 1800's. The organs have beautifully crafted wood cases in many styles (Parlor, Chapel, etc.).

The classrooms contain many early 1900's artifacts and displays.
> A restored classroom with old style student desks.
> A local history room featuring Civil War items.
> A job printing press and equipment.
> A furnished home display including kitchen, parlor, dining room, bedroom and nursery furnishings.
> A gift shop is available with many hand-crafted items and several reed organ CD's for purchase.
A restored hand-drawn fire-fighting apparatus and a 1950's vintage fire-truck are available for viewing

The tour format:

> A short lecture about the historic schoolhouse and the reed organs.
> A demonstration of playing the different tyoes of organs.
Guests are invited to play if they have key board experience.
> A guided tour of all museum areas.

Lunches are available at our Heritage Park Events Center and wagon rides around the 82-acre park are also available. Lunches and wagon rides require advance reservations.

The buildings and restrooms are handicapped accessible except for the 2nd floor of the museum.

Please allow 1.5 hours for the tour.

The price for the guided tour is $3.00 per person.

> Lunches are $7.50 each - paid in advance.

> Wagon Rides are $1.00 per person
